Name this Fish

During my low-tide excursions last weekend, my cousin and I came upon a small tidepool in which this fish was trapped. Can anyone tell me what it is? It kept swimming back under the cover of the kelp to the left, most likely trying to avoid the many seagulls.

Sand Dollar

This image of a Sand Dollar was one of my few experiments with my new 105mm Macro lens. There wasn’t a whole lot of debris on the beach, as I had hoped, for macro shots. I was hoping to get a lot more use of the macro capability, but it was not to be.

Sunset, Flash

With this picture I finally got a chance to really play with my SB-800 flash, which is almost as complicated to use as my camera. This is a 5 second exposure, with a flash that lasted for a full second to light up the plant in the foreground. I think it was successful.

Seascape

I took this picture with my new 105mm lens during the low tide event last weekend. This rock formation is just off the tip of Tillamook head at Ecola State Park.
