This is a detail image of one of the mailboxes at Timberline Lodge. You can find them across from the gift shop on the ground floor. The detailed work that went into these is quite incredible. Just look at all the individual dimples that were made in the rays eminating from the eagle.
This is Heidi, one of two St. Bernards living and working up at Timberline Lodge. The human hand you see belongs to one of her handlers who was keeping Heidi under control around a very boisterous Rottweiler.
I captured this image in Timberline Lodge. It is carved into one of the walls of the lodge, and is only a piece of a larger scene. I hope to spend a day up there taking a bunch of photos of the interior and exterior of the Lodge.
This picture shows most of the writing group I’m in at work. We took this trip up to Timberline Lodge to take our visiting writers from Egypt to seem some snow. From Left to Right: Bill, me, Nesreen, Charley, Sahar. As you see, I am half covered in shadow (no that wasn’t by design); maybe someday I’ll put up a decent picture of me. The weather was fantastic and Sahar and Nesreen were very excited to walk through the snow and stand on this most beautiful of mountains; Mt. Hood.
