Left Crow: Did this guy just call us Heckle and Jeckle? Doesn’t he know that they were magpies?
Right Crow: He may not know his cartoon-ornithology, but that is a sweet lens he’s using. I think it is a Nikkor 80-200 f2.8.
This Harbor Seal pup (Phoca vitulina) was wandering around the tide pools during a very low tide. He was putting on quite the show for me and my fellow photographers at my last workshop. I’m sure his mom was out near some of the larger rocks cursing his dad for raising such a gregarious pup.

Today I let Zola fall asleep for the last time. For the past few weeks she had been fighting a cancer that was making her horribly uncomfortable. She led a wonderful life, nearly reaching the age of sixteen. She will be missed.
