Mountain

January 12th, 2008 Lane No comments

This photo is my submission to the Photo Friday online photo event, where photographers from around the world post an image that best represents a word or phrase. This week’s word is “Mountain”.

This image is of Oregon’s Mount Hood taken from the grounds of Timberline Lodge.

This image may look familiar to regular visitors of my photo gallery, because I used it back in 2005. That was when I was trying out new photo editing features, I’ve since learned that instead of making the image look different is nowhere near as interesting as making it look right.

Heckle and Jeckle

Left Crow: Did this guy just call us Heckle and Jeckle? Doesn’t he know that they were magpies?
Right Crow: He may not know his cartoon-ornithology, but that is a sweet lens he’s using. I think it is a Nikkor 80-200 f2.8.

Sedimentary Sentinels

Over the pacific, these forms keep watch; susceptible only to time, wind, rain.

If you care to assist them in their assignment, head on out to Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay, Oregon.
